CheckDisk is a powerful tool that lets you look for and repair errors in your PC hard drive. It is similar to the ScanDisk operation in your Windows operating system, but more complete.

It is a small utility that needs no installation, and is really easy to use. You can choose among different types of scan: standard, which examines the disc rapidly, or complete, where it analyzes by sector. CheckDisk can scan both disc drives and external drives like USB memories, CD or DVD, etc. During the process you can see the status of these drives examined, and if you need to stop at any moment you can do, and restart later when you need it.
